Trees can add so much to your landscaping. You can create borders, use them to shade your house during the summer or plant them for the fruit they will produce in the fall.
Look at your overall landscaping design to determine which types of trees will work best for your design and also where to plant the trees that you choose.
Find out the mature size of the tree prior to planting, for example you don't want to plant a tree that will reach a mature height of 40 feet right next to your house.
There are some good landscaping design software programs that will help you with the placement of your trees or you can ask for advice of your local nursery.
